She will also provide resume and interview tips, and information about special career resources available for women veterans at the VJC. There will be raffles and a gas card of $50.00 will be awarded to the veteran with the most guests! (must be vets). Our goal is to unite community organizations such as the Verdugo Job Center, the local colleges and their veterans’ programs, veterans’ service organizations and community organizations like the YWCA to support the specific needs of women veterans returning to civilian work and life. Our success depends on women veterans themselves getting together and getting involved to determine what resources are needed and available for their job searches. This will be about communicating, sharing and working together to help insure that every female veteran finds the help she needs to 1. land a job that meets her needs 2. find assistance in balancing work and life 3. receive job training that is available to make her job-ready.
