location: YWCA of Glendale, 735 East Lexington Drive, Glendale, CA 91206

Women Veterans should be setting the cadence for other women to follow. The Military Women Leadership Conference is designed to benefit the women veterans who attend with a direct learning experience that can be used and further developed. The day is long yet rewarding because we have guests from multiple backgrounds providing a breadth of information. Organizations presenting will include: The Verdugo Job Center, Employment Development Dept (EDD), Wellness Works, Calvet, Vet Hunters, World Financial Group, Millennium Momentum Foundation, EBV Consultants and Encouragement Center, and Volunteers of America. This day is designed to build confident leaders who will have the knowledge and hunger to share the information they gain. A representative from Verdugo Jobs Center will present a workshop about available free, short-term training programs for high demand jobs in entertainment, medical, administrative and IT / Computers – available for women veterans. She will also provide resume and interview tips, and information about special career resources available for women veterans at the VJC. There will be raffles and a gas card of $50.00 will be awarded to the veteran with the most guests! (must be vets). A Leadership Certificate of Recognition will be awarded to each participant who attends the full day ! The Certificate can be shown at your future job interviews. Come make connections, grow in self and professional development, and share your professional experiences with other female military women. Together, we can set the cadence for future leaders.
