Care Coordination is a fast growing career in the healthcare industry. This course will assist individuals in enhancing their careers as a Home Health Aides, Medical Assistants or LVNs by gaining skills and knowledge used in hospitals, clinics and other patient care settings.
The VWDB/VJC has a limited number of course fee grant waivers. See flyer for contact and application information. Class runs March 17 – April 28.
The Verdugo Workforce Development Board (VWDB) envisions an economically vibrant, tri-city region with thriving businesses, youth and job-seekers on career paths that reflect their highest potential.
The VWDB’s VJC has partnered with Glendale Community College and Department of Rehabilitation to provide IT Level I training for interested clients. Disabilities Employment Accelerator funds assist individuals with disabilities with job placement, classroom and on the job training, work experience, career exploration assistance. Eligible clients enrolled in the program may qualify to receive free IT training through GCC. After the training there will be opportunities to be enrolled in either work experience or on the job training with local employers. Great opportunity in manufacturing training for young adults between the ages of 18-29 that are not in school or working!
Training will begin February 27th. Grant will pay for the training cost- no cost to participants. Interested candidates should attend one of the orientation sessions on Tuesday mornings at Los Angeles Valley College.
